Gas Burner Not Igniting
The most common stove complaint we receive. Usually caused by a dirty or cracked igniter, a faulty igniter switch, or moisture inside the igniter assembly after a boilover. We clean and test the full ignition system and replace components as needed.
Oven Not Heating or Heating Unevenly
An oven that won't heat at all on a gas range almost always has a failed bake igniter. On electric ranges, the bake or broil element has burned out. Uneven heating is typically caused by a failed temperature sensor or a malfunctioning oven control board.
Gas Burner Flame Too Low or Stays on One Setting
A burner that won't adjust or produces a very weak flame usually has a faulty burner valve or a blocked gas orifice. We clean and test the full burner assembly and replace valves that have failed.
Oven Temperature Inaccurate
If food consistently burns or comes out undercooked at the same temperature setting, the oven temperature sensor has drifted or failed. This is one of the most straightforward repairs we handle and is completed on the first visit in virtually every case.
Self-Clean Cycle Causing Oven to Stop Working
The self-clean cycle runs at temperatures above 900°F, which can trip the thermal fuse if the oven isn't properly ventilated. A blown thermal fuse after a self-clean cycle is one of the more common oven repairs we perform in Somerset County homes.
Oven Door Not Closing or Sealing Properly
A door that won't close fully allows heat to escape, which causes temperature inconsistency and higher energy use. Usually caused by worn door hinges, a damaged door gasket, or a bent door frame from being left open under heavy weight.
Range Control Board or Display Failure
When the display goes blank, buttons stop responding, or error codes appear that can't be cleared, the control board has typically failed. We source and replace control boards across all major brands.
Electric Burner or Coil Not Heating
On electric coil ranges, a burner that produces no heat usually has a burned-out coil element or a failed burner receptacle block. Both are quick replacements carried on every truck.
