No Steam Pressure or Weak Steam
The most common espresso machine issue we see in Somerset County. Almost always caused by limescale buildup on the heating element or thermoblock from the area's moderately hard water. Regular descaling every 2 to 3 months prevents this from developing.
Machine Not Heating or Heating Slowly
When the machine takes significantly longer than normal to reach operating temperature, or fails to heat at all, the heating element or thermoblock has either scaled over or failed. We descale and test first, and replace the component if scaling alone hasn't resolved the issue.
Coffee Machine Leaking Water
Leaks from the group head, steam wand connections, or the base of the machine are caused by worn group head gaskets, cracked water line connections, or a solenoid valve that isn't closing completely. We source and replace gaskets and valves for all major brands.
Pump Making Loud Noise or Not Pumping
A pump that's significantly louder than normal or that fails to move water through the system has either scaled up internally or worn out mechanically. We assess, descale, and replace pumps as needed. Vibratory pumps for most brands are stocked on every truck.
Coffee Machine Not Turning On
When the machine produces no response at all, the cause is usually a blown thermal fuse, a failed main control board, or a power supply issue. We diagnose the root cause and replace the specific failed component.
Grinder Not Working or Producing Inconsistent Grind
Bean-to-cup machines with integrated grinders develop burr wear and grinder motor failures over time. Inconsistent grind size or a grinder that makes grinding sounds but produces little output almost always means the burrs need replacement.
Machine Showing Error Codes
Modern bean-to-cup machines from Jura, De'Longhi, Miele, and Siemens display error codes for everything from descaling alerts to brewing unit failures. Our technicians read and interpret codes across all major brands and know which require a component repair versus a reset procedure.
Brewing Unit Failure
The brewing unit in a bean-to-cup machine is a mechanical assembly that wears out over time. Symptoms include coffee that comes out watery, grounds in the cup, or the machine stopping mid-brew. Brewing unit replacement is a standard repair we perform on all major bean-to-cup brands.
