Dishwasher Not Reaching Sanitizing Temperature
The most serious commercial dishwasher failure from a health compliance standpoint. On high-temperature machines, final rinse water must reach 180°F. A failed booster heater, a faulty wash heater, or an inaccurate temperature sensor is almost always responsible. We carry booster heating elements for all major commercial brands.
Poor Wash Results or Dishes Coming Out Dirty
Dishes that come out of a commercial dishwasher dirty or with residue have one of three problems: clogged spray arms that aren't distributing water properly, a weak wash pump that isn't generating adequate pressure, or a detergent dispensing system that isn't releasing chemical at the right time in the cycle.
Commercial Dishwasher Not Draining
Standing water in the tub after the cycle almost always points to a blocked drain filter, a failed drain pump, or a clogged drain line. The drain filter should be cleaned after every shift — this is the most commonly neglected maintenance item in New Jersey restaurant dishwashers.
Machine Not Filling With Water
When the dishwasher doesn't fill to the correct level, the cause is usually a failed water inlet valve, low incoming water pressure, or a water level sensor that has failed. Low fill level causes poor wash results and can damage the wash pump if the pump runs dry.
Door Latch or Door Safety Switch Failure
A door that won't latch or a door safety switch that fails prevents the machine from starting a cycle. Door latch assemblies on commercial dishwashers wear quickly under the frequency of use in a restaurant environment. We carry door latch assemblies for all major commercial brands.
Control Board or Display Failure
When the control panel goes dark, buttons stop responding, or error codes appear that can't be cleared, the control board has typically failed. We source and replace control boards for all major commercial dishwasher brands.
Chemical Dispensing System Failure
The detergent, rinse aid, and sanitizer dispensing system is a critical part of warewashing compliance. Failed dispensing pumps, blocked injector lines, or empty chemical tanks that trigger a lockout are diagnosed and repaired as part of our commercial dishwasher service.
Mineral Scale Buildup
New Jersey has moderately hard water, which causes mineral scale to accumulate inside the wash pump, spray arms, heating elements, and tank over time. We perform descaling as part of every commercial dishwasher service call and advise on a water treatment or descaling schedule appropriate for your operation.
